Abstract:
The notes comprising this article present a general framework for analyzing how different governance processes and internal control systems can affect corporate performance. This framework reflects an interdisciplinary and interfunctional approach to organizational problem solving and value creation. The basic disciplines reflected in commentary on governance and corporate control include human behavior, organizational economics, and corporate finance.
